Distraught over the loss of Jake to the Gundalians, Dan tries to mount a rescue operation to Gundalia. As the other Brawlers attempt to talk him down, Jake strolls back into view. Claiming to have escaped Kazarina's clutches, he is banged up, but seemingly okay. While Dan is overjoyed to see his friend, Shun remains suspicious. As the Brawlers plan their next move against the enemy, Jake offers up a suggestion that makes Dan wonder, is it really his friend who wandered in out of the cold?... or an imposter?
